General Information
Treasure Nile was one of the first progressive slots launched at Mummys Gold Casino back in 2004. It was also one of the few Egyptian-themed games in the casino’s catalogue. Over the years, this theme and progressive slots in general, have increased by a huge number.
As far as progressive slots go, Treasure Nile is as simple and straight-forward as it gets – 9 paylines, no in-game bonus features and one progressive jackpot. There are two special symbols though, a Wild and a Scatter, but if you’re looking for simplistic gameplay with the chance of triggering a jackpot win, then Treasure Nile might just be the progressive slot for you.
Treasure Nile Game Settings
Upon launching the game, it’s easy to find everything you need to start playing – the available credits, bet size, current win and spin button will be located at the bottom, while the progressive jackpot amount is at the top. Treasure Nile has 5 reels, 9 paylines and only one bet size. It can be played in both credits or coins, with the bet sizes being 9 coins or 4.50 credits. By scrolling from right to left with the arrows on the side, you’ll be able to view the payout table, special symbols and more information about the game.
You may think that, because Treasure Nile was created more than 20 years ago, it’s not available on mobile. But the game has been adapted for the smaller screen, so it can be enjoyed in both landscape and portrait mode on all compatible mobile devices.
Treasure Nile Game Symbols
As the game has an Egyptian theme, the symbols will naturally follow suit, and while you only need 2 of the same lower-paying symbols, the rest of the combinations require 3 or more for a payout. These include an Ankh, Sphinx, Pharaoh, Scroll, Snake and Anubis.
The lower-paying symbols can pay out between 1 and 150 credits for a winning combination, while the rest of the symbol payouts range between 6 and 3,000 credits. The highest symbol is the Pharaoh and can pay up to 6,000 credits – this symbol is also key in triggering the progressive jackpot.
Treasure Nile Special Symbols
There are two special symbols worth mentioning – the Wild and the Scatter, and they have the following duties:
- Wild: This symbol is an image of the pyramids against a sunset, and as the Wild it can substitute for all other symbols, except the Scatter, to form winning combinations. While the symbol can also substitute for the Pharaoh, it cannot replace this symbol to complete a progressive jackpot win. The Wild will take the payout denomination of the symbol that it’s substituting for.
- Scatter: This symbol is depicted by a Scarab and, while it cannot trigger a bonus feature, Scarabs don’t need to land on a payline in order to pay out. Between 3 and 5 Scatters landing anywhere on the reels can award between 5 and 50 credits.
Treasure Nile Progressive Jackpot
There are plenty progressive jackpot games available at Mummys Gold Casino, some with more than one jackpot which reset to a predetermined amount after having been won. This is not the case with Treasure Nile as it’s a straight-forward one jackpot slot.
The jackpot is not triggered at random like other progressive slots, and there’s no wheel to spin. Instead, landing 5 of the Pharaoh symbols on the 9th payline, will award the progressive jackpot. We can’t provide the amount of this jackpot as it will keep growing as more and more players place real money bets, so big wins of up to in the thousands could be up for grabs.
Treasure Nile Big Winners
Treasure Nile has been around for a good couple of years and, even though it may not pay out as much as other progressive games like Mega Moolah, some significant amounts that have been won over the last few years include $70,997.14, CAD146,311.48 and €132,825.38.
